Nico Koster (1940) studied at the graphic school and learned to photograph during his military service. In 1963 he worked at ‘De Telegraaf’, a Dutch newspaper. Koster made reports on sports, society , fashion , and in 1969 the famous series of John Lennon and Yoko Ono at the Hilton Hotel Amsterdam during their ‘ Bed-in for Peace ‘ . He photographed the CoBrA artists and many others. He started in the eighties his Modern Gallery in the famous Nieuwe Spiegelstraat in Amsterdam.
